1. The base is everything—literally
Skimp on it and your drive’ll dip like a cheap mattress. Most failures? Poor sub-base, not the resin.

2. Resin yellows if it’s cheap
Looks great at handover—then turns a horrible yellow after a year. (I can give you my wealth of knowledge on this subject.

3. Mixing’s an art – From a clean, upright forced action mixer(not a cement mixer!) to the correct aggregate and what goes in the mixer at what time and for how long! All vital.

6. The wrong weather kills jobs
Pro installers check forecasts— is it wet? How hot is it? What’s the humidity? And more.

So yeah—next time some bloke says “easy peasy, mate,” ask him how many times he’s ripped up his own work.
