• How long does a resin-bound drive last?
Ten to fifteen years if installed professionally —longer if you don’t drive a tank over it.
• Can I do it myself?
Sure—if you like wasting weekends, money, and your sanity. Mixing the resin wrong or a myriad of other possible mistakes means re-doing the whole thing. Hire pros.
• Is it slippery when wet?
A bit when wet or icy (no surface is completely anti-slip), but the installer should add glass grit during the install to give your shoes grip
• Does it stop puddles?
Yep—permeable magic. Water sinks straight through. Councils love it for SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage System) rules.
• What if it cracks?
Cracks mean bad base or cheap resin. I can talk you through the best available options.
• How long till I can park on it?
Twenty-four hours generally, but that’s temperature dependant. Walk on it sooner, but no cars till tomorrow. Colder? Wait two days.
• Can I change the colour later?
Nope—once it’s down, it’s down. Pick wisely. (Pro tip: test samples outside first.)
• Does it need planning permission?
Usually not—unless you’re in a conservation area. Check your local council
