Maintenance Myths about Resin Bound busted

1. “You have to seal it every year”
Nope. Just wash it off once or twice a year. But it can be resealed at a later date should you wish to re-gloss or add extra glass grit.

2. “It needs a special cleaner”
Rubbish. Warm water, mild detergent, soft brush. Jet wash on low (under 150 bar) if it’s oily. That’s it. The “miracle resin cleaner” is just branded soap—save your twenty quid.

3. “It cracks if you park heavy stuff”
Only if the base is rubbish. A bin lorry? Fine. A crane? Yeah, don’t. But most folks never see that.

4. “Weeds will grow through it”
Lie. Weeds aren’t strong enough to grow up through it. Resin Bound is significantly stronger than tarmac if installed correctly!

5. “It fades in sun”
UV-resistant resin doesn’t. Cheap resin does. Again this is about asking the pertinent questions of your installer.

Bottom line: treat it like a good floor—sweep, wash, done. No drama.
